Moira Stones, Learning Mentor at Carr Manor High School met with Tony Blair last year to discuss behaviour and attendance issues. Moira had been asked by the then Minister, Jim Knight, to join a new practioners group to look at strateges and advise on next steps. She is now going to London for a meeting and to have lunch with Kevin Brennan, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children, Young People and Families. It is deeply reassuring when some of our brilliant colleagues knowledge, experience and understanding is being used to influence national policy.
